About the Foundation
Governance
The structures that keep authority accountable, from our founding constitution to our Board of Trustees.
Structure Built for Accountability
Good governance is not a formality to us; it is the mechanism that keeps every other commitment on this site honest. Here is how authority, decision-making, and oversight are structured at the Bene Est Akrofi Foundation.
Board of Trustees
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, established under our founding constitution, responsible for setting strategic direction and holding management to account.
Constitutional Mandate
Our vision, mission, and six focus areas are enshrined in our governing constitution. Programmes and expenditure are measured against this mandate, not improvised around it.
Documented Decision-Making
Board decisions, policies, and governing documents will be documented and made available, so that authority is always traceable to a recorded, accountable process.
Community Voice
The communities we exist to serve are treated as partners in our governance, not passive recipients of it, with regular, meaningful engagement built into how we operate.
We are in our founding phase. As our governing bodies and policies are formally constituted, this page will be updated with the specific detail: who serves, how they were appointed, and how oversight is exercised in practice.
